Tim Tebow began his gridiron journey at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida. After a stellar high school career, he emerged as one of the top quarterback prospects in the United States. After some deliberation he committed to play for the University of Florida. Tebow, with a powerful running game to compliment a traditional passing attack, began his career as a backup to Chris Leak. However, his abundant talent was undeniable.

During his freshman season Tim Tebow was a key reserve for the Gators' national championship team. In 2007, Tim Tebow took the reins as the full-time starter. Despite lofty expectations he somehow managed to exceed them all. He set conference records for both rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns accounted for in a single season. His tremendous sophomore seasons catapulted Tebow to even louder applause, ultimately culminating in a Heisman trophy.
